Zagreus in Greek mythology and inspirations for the games style mechanics and lore. Yeap, he actually exists in real Greek mythology. *Parents:* Son of Zeus (who took the disguise of a snake.) and Persephone. *Main Association:* The God of rebirth (which is genius to implement him into a roguelike which is all about dying and rebirthing) *Secondary Associations:* The God of shapeshifting *His role in Mythology:* Zeus gave him the status of "king of the Gods" and showered him with gifts such as his lighting bolts. (Tangent: which is a common misconception, the lightning bolts are not a power, they are weapons. Similar to a spear it's finate in uses and if you throw one bolt then you have one less bolt and a new lightning bolt needs to be built by it's creators, the cyclops. The cyclops built the lightning bolts and gave them to Zeus to end the Titanomachy). *Cause of death:* The Titans by the orders of Hera chopped him up in his bull form and ate him. Hera showered him with gifts, one of them being a mirror which he took great interest in, to see his reflection which make him drop his guard when the Titans jumped him. *What happened after his death:* Zeus became so enraged that he bolted all the titans (Gods and titans are immortal in the sense that they can't age or have illness however they can be killed but they usually don't remain dead for long in mythology as they find ways to rebirth). Zeus then begot a son in the body of his mortal lover Semele, this child, made from the heart of Zagreus, was called "Dionysus", the God of wine, vegetation, fertility, festivity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre we all know and love.

At first I thought Hades 2 couldn't top the original in terms of its OST. I was dead wrong, Darren Korb is a genius!

Well I got all the achievements for this game but this has reminded me that I haven't faced Hades MK.II as yet. Ah, but I'm enjoying Hades 2 too much now 😅

They could've gone with the obvious pun "see you in hades" since that's basically the greek version of hell

one thing not many people have commented on is how *otherworldly* this song sounds in comparison to the rest of the OST of both hades games. It has more synthy EDM elements than any other song in the game, when all of hades 1 and 2 was composed of mostly acoustic instruments with added electric guitar

Dont know if this is intentional or not but the sirens sing about death in both their songs, and sirens sing about what the person their trying to lure in most deeply desirers, and Melinöe wants more then anything in this world for Chronos to die. So great job on Supergiant's part for purposefully or accidently doing that!

Hades 1 is more emotional than Hades 2. I think it makes the game better.
